Wo Bist die Ultimaten?
« on: August 29, 2013, 01:54:57 PM »
Hi All, Katherine and I made our big 60 mile round trip in to the Lab today(Thur-29th) to finish up something on the UltiMaker... and it's not here? Is it under repair or something? We'll wait here for a bit to hear some word.

Thanks- Tom

We're asking around online, but haven't found anyone who knows so far. I'll update this when I find someone!

Have you checked both the classroom and the admin room? it seems to move back and forth between the two. It was in the classroom up by the white board when I was last at the lab on Tuesday.

Thank You darkmoonsinger, we're still here. I'd use one of the other 3D printers, but we haven't been checked out on them yet.

And yes Matt, we've checked both rooms, and all the rest of the areas too.

I'm glad to hear everything was figured out. However, we probably should have a more in depth discussion at a future meeting regarding availability of tools (especially high-demand tools like the laser and 3D printers). We've already created whiteboards to document any issues and if the equipment is working properly or not. Conner has already integrated ticket tracking into the FamiLAB android App. Perhaps we should also include a section for quick go/no go status on a particular tool. The printers are often removed from the lab for special events (maker saturdays, community outreach events, etc...) and we should document these occasions to prevent what happened to you (making a long trip out to the lab) from happening again in the future.

That would be a nice feature Matt.  :)

No worries for us earlier today though, we got caught up with some errands on the way home, and were especially happy to have time to swing by the mushroom factory between Zellwood and Mt. Dora... they had giant 2+ pound bags of fresh shrooms for $2 at the drive-by kiosk.  :P

does the Andriod app have some kind of data feed that can be consumed to provide information to people who DON'T own a Andriod device?

and NO i am not going to buy an andriod device :)

i would rather develop something that can consume the data from the andriod app and present it via "html" .

That's a lot of mushrooms. I'll have to make it out myself.

The Mushroom Factory is:

Monterey Mushrooms Inc.
5949 Sadler Rd, Zellwood, Fl.
407-905-4000

Heading north on 441, Sadler should be the next light past Zellwood(at the Jones Road light). Turn right on Sadler, and Monterey is about 1 mile East, and on the left. Just inside the entrance is a little Kiosk/Booth. Give the friendly gal in the booth $2, and you will get a big bag, fresh from her fridge. We try to have a cooler bag with icepacks inside for the return trip.
