Is there any value in a dead Pentium XP laptop
« on: January 30, 2015, 11:10:32 PM »
Ok so my old Pentium Laptop running XP has a dead motherboard.  Probably somewhere near the power end since it kills the power supply when plugged in.  I have determined the replacement Mother board is about $300.  On that basis I have chosen to just offload the data and junk it.  The other parts are still most likely in good shape, Display, graphics card, cpu?, Memory, Optical drive and such.  Is there any value of all this stuff to anyone in Familab?  Would it be worthwhile to Ebay it?  It is a Dell Inspiron 1520 with 4 gig ram.
