Shop Embroidery Machine
« on: May 13, 2014, 05:43:48 PM »
Hi all,

I'm new and will be applying to be a member at the next member meeting. There was some talk at the open house of there being an embroidery machine in the shop -- does anyone have details on it? I'm interested in learning how to do embroidery and avoid the pitfalls of doing a bad job (preferably without having to make all the mistakes myself). Appreciate any thoughts/recommendations/suggestions!

Oh hey! Missed this post! The embroidery machine is mine, and sometimes I leave it at the lab. I haven't in a long time, but if you want to rock with it, then it's all yours to use. You'll have to search around the net for some *coughcough*totally legal*coughcough* software to generate your own stitch files. The machine can take embroidery cartridges with existing files loaded, so you won't have to generate everything. Let me know if you have any more questions.
I like colors.

I know this is an old thread but I'd also be interested in this. I'd like to start making some custom hats and maybe do some shirts with embroidery. Perhaps some FamiLAB embroidered shirts could be considered? I'm just throwing the idea out there.
