Greetings....
« on: June 15, 2013, 11:28:51 PM »
Hello Familab'rs!

Just lurking, thought would wave a hand..... Live down in New Port Richey, FL , was up at the Saturday Mini Maker at OSC , dropped of some small items i had for the lab , i am sure you all can use :)

My Background:

I am an Arcade & Pinball "Collector" (well, more of a fixer, i don't play them very much).
My day job is a System's Architect ( Bascially, everything from a C# developer, net admin, network design, sql admin, etc , jack of all IT trades )
My hobby is Electronics Engineering ( yeah, my hobby.. )  I enjoy fixing broken electronics, and designing and building things, i own tons of cool test gear ( HP 16700A, w/16555D(x3) 256 Channels @ 110mhz/4m deep memory , 16534A 500mhz DSO, 16522A Pattern Generator ) and a 2x Fluke 9010A w/a ton of pods, Rigol 100mhz DSO small scope, Picture Tube rejuvinater.. atmel stk500/600 and various atmel development tools ( AVR ISP/ICE/JTAG ) , Rhode & Swartz 100khz-1.2Ghz RF Generator, and who knows what else.
I also use to dabble in "RC" stuff, but haven't messed with it in awhile, i have a t-rex 450? i want to finish getting together and fly, but to scared to break it.
I am also a Ham Radio Operator, and sit on the Board of Directors for the NI4CE Repeater system that covers pretty much West Central Florida.
I also run about 20 servers out of my house ( i do webhosting and development work at home as well )
I own 9? Pinball Machines, 5 Arcade machines, and tubs and tubs and tubs of arcade boards & parts.
I help run the "Gamewarp" arcade & pinball show every year in July.
I usually hang out on the VillageBBS Forums & there IRC Chat room, And post sometimes on KLOV,  maybe i will start lurking here a bit too :) .
I am looking to add a 3d printer to my workspace, but not anytime soon. ( i have my eyes on the solidoodle ).

ok, thats enough about me, i will go back in hiding now.

Oh, and i go by Hamster or Bill :)

Thanks so much again! I'm the one that picked everything up. I spent some of the afternoon starting to work on the projector convergence. You'll have to drop by soon once we've put the Arduinos into service. Again, much appreciated. Welcome!

Bill is being modest - the "small items" were 13 (IIRC) Arduino Pro Ethernet boards - a logic analyzer and a projector. THANK YOU!!!

I'm still upset that my vacation won't let me attend GameWarp, but I'll see you at some other pinball events this year :)

Hamster/Bill,

Thanks for all the parts.  We have some plans and will put them to good use. I'll be going to the gamewwarp and have put the word out to some friends who are interested.

Hope to see you there
