Local electronics supply store (other than Skycraft)
« on: December 20, 2013, 11:58:30 AM »
Hi there.

I've regularly been hitting a wall trying to find components for whatever electronics project I'm working on at the moment, and while I LOVE Skycraft, there are many times where I need a certain IC or other component that they simply do not have.

That said, are there any electronic component suppliers/stores in the Orlando area? At this point, I'd take what Radio Shack used to be back in the day before they turned into a glorified cell phone store.

Thanks in advance for any leads or suggestions!

Between FamiLAB members & GadgetCat (run by Brooks, a FamiLAB member) - we have lots of things in our parts bins. I'm always happy to provide something that can then be replaced later with an internet order...

We even have a "Parts Exchange" forum for such posts :)

or just order from

mouser
digikey
jameco

if you find something noone has, also hood idea to ask if anybody else wants any parts as well, save $$ order in bulk :o)

Yeah if you want to order something of the Sparkfun/Adafruit variety, Gadgetcat has been facilitating group buys etc. The website shows what's in stock. http://Http://www.gadgetcat.com . Can deliver in the Orlando area. I'm more familiar with Brevard Co personally, down that way is also Jaycon Systems, Astro Too which has a lot of surplus, and I've gotten some esoteric parts from Pridmore in Melbourne.

Are you looking for something in particular?
