I am the president of UCF's Engineers w/o Borders Chapter and I am working to give our engineers the opportunity to do hands on things that they don't get a chance to do in classes. I just moved here from California and was part of Fab Lab's there and am in the process of becoming a member of Familab now but in the mean time am trying to get in touch with a few members that may be interested in leading/teaching a couple of workshops.
This Fall we have the Circuit Series which will be 6 workshops (in the evening) held over the first half of Fall semester starting with understanding basic circuit components, solving basic circuits, using eagle, bread boarding, making a simple PCB (permanent marker method).
Anyway, we'd love to establish a closer relationship with Familab and are in the process of re-vamping our website (it will be launched this month) and we'd happily promote Familab there and on campus.
Would anybody be up for hearing more about and possibly teaching a couple parts of the circuit series?
PS--We also have a Matlab Programming Series and Engineering Toolkit Series taught by our software team which familab members are welcome to come to!
