Is there a local source for them?  I'd order a few from iFixit, but I'd like to get this thing open and cleaned up before the corrosion gets too far along.

Harbor freight has a couple sets with those. The little star guys, right?

Also I have one you can borrow, if it comes to that.

HF has lots of 6 pointed star sets, but I didn't see any 5 pointed stars.
(I grabbed the 100pc security bit set anyway, 'cause hey, ya never know...)

I do have the small iphone-sized 5 point, but not the larger macbook-sized 5 point.  I'll see if I can open it w/ a modified x-acto blade, and hopefully the large driver will get here from iFixit by the time things have dried out.

I've taken plenty of macbooks apart, but I guess I know not how. I just looked at my little blue set I use and yep. They're six points. Hum.

Did they change the screws recently?

(And yeah, for $9 a good security bit set is nice to have)
