16 MHz Crystal Oscillators (For arduino fans)

A while back I bought a gross (hundreds) of 16MHz crystal oscillators for an absolute bargain online ($16 or something). I'll never use this many, so I'll offer some of them up to you guys.


If you're a fan of arduino, and want to try making a "barebones" arduino (the chip with the bootloader, but without the whole arduino board), then you'll need one of these if you need to keep accurate timing. I've got some spare .22uF loading capacitors lying around here somewhere too, to help get you going.


I don't know if the shop has bins for this sort of thing. I was there for an open house, and didn't want to be rooting through every drawer in the place to see what was where.

Oh wow. That's awesome. Mike Smith teaches the make-your-own-arduino class, and those might be helpful!

Hmmm... I'm wondering what could be made by pairing lots of oscillators with some 74** series logic gates and decoders... Some pretty blinky lights for sure...

I keep seeing you in everything I post.
I like the way you think. If they survived the move, I should have a few 74xx lying around, along with some bit shift registers. Could be interesting.




Just let me know how many are needed. I have some experience in doing the barebones approach, I've made money in the past kicking out arduino circuits for people, and it's 1/10 the cost of buying an arduino for every project.
