Acer Aspire netbook for grabs + Arduino Motor Shield
« on: February 18, 2014, 07:30:44 PM »
Found these in one of my electronics boxes this afternoon, and cant really justify holding on to them. Maybe someone could use the EEE as a low power brain for a project? Battery is iffy on it, everything else is fine though. Ideal for a lightweight linux distro; ubuntu is on it now, with a long initial bootup, but useable afterwards (if slow).

The motor shield is the standard radio-shack version. Not sure if its compatible with older arduinos. Was planning on using it on my CNC project, until I found grbl. Should be able to drive 4 motors up to 2 amps apiece , handles pwm,  etc. Pretty good support can be found online for someone who wants to play around.

Both available to a good home.
