Arcade CRT, free!
« on: April 14, 2015, 11:09:44 AM »
I have this monitor for an arcade machine.  It was originally used by a game studio for debug/testing, so it's mounted in a wooden frame suitable for a desktop/workstation.  Because it was used in an office environment, it's in great shape with no burn-in.  It's a 17 (or 19?) inch screen, with a VGA input.  If I remember correctly, It runs a 640x480 resolution at 60hz.  It may do other resolutions too, but that's what I was able to get via a quick laptop connection.

I've had this thing for years, and I've finally admitted to myself I'm not going to get around to building a MAME machine with it.  I will happily give it to anyone who would come take it off my hands.  You can pick it up any day this week between 10am and 8pm, at

EA Tiburon:  1950 Summit Park Dr, Orlando 32810

(If you need more details about the monitor, I can post a picture and model number.)

Sox, thanks for the offer! Could we please have the model number?

It's labeled as a Neotec NT-2502.

I just remembered, the power cable is molex, so you might need to make an adapter.  I don't know what the JAMMA standard is.

PS: After googling the specs, it appears the size is actually 25-inch.

I think I'd love to have this to do a real MAME type cabinet for the lab .... a 25" would be awesome!

Great!  I'm happy to donate it to a good home :-)

Let me know when you can pick it up. I've run out of space for it, so right now it's riding shotgun in my Honda.  :P

I keep meaning to drop it off at Familab, but I've been super busy with our current project.  If you can come over here and pick it up during the day, I'll throw in a tour of the studio and a visit to our company store!

send me an email - mike at familab.org with your contact details and hopefully we can work something out!

Thanks again!

Hi!

Sorry, i should have updated this thread yesterday...  Someone took it off my hands last night.

If it makes you feel better, it's being donated to a young girl who is building her own arcade system... apparently this was the last piece she was missing.  Sounds like a future recruit for Familab :-)
