EV free to good home
« on: June 20, 2014, 05:03:05 PM »
I have an EV I built about 10 years ago that is now gathering mold in my side yard.  Would love to find it a good home or someone who would appreciate some of the parts.

Still has a working 144v motor attached to the original vehicle transmission, smart battery charger and other electronics.

When mothballed all it needed to work was new batteries and a 144 to 12 volt converter.

I'm at work today so no pics right now.  I can probably get some posted tomorrow.  I can do specs:

Chassis is a 88 Honda Civic AWD.  Rear drivetrain, fuel system, engine and exhaust system removed. Body and interior in OK condition.

Motor is an Advanced DC 9" with Kevlar wraps.
Controller is a Curtis 500amp.
Charger is a Manzanita Micro TFC-20.

Make it autonomous and leave it at the lab. When someone takes 'Sunrail', they summon the Autonomous EV, and it comes and gets them.  :D

If nobody else wants it, I will take it. It can go on my list of projects.

Holey Moley!  I built an electric car at UCF, I was president of A.S.E.T. and I was part of the A.S.E.T. Eliminator electric vehicle team.  We converted a 1994 Mercury Tracer LS to all-electric and raced it and showed it off at various venues around Florida.
I have always wanted to build/convert/refurb an electric car of my own!  It has always been a goal of mine to build one.  I would really love to do bring it to life!  This has been a goal of mine since I was in my teens.  I would love to do this.  If it's available, please get in touch. :-D
