Hello Everyone. I'm Johnathan (a.k.a. Johnny Robot)
« on: January 13, 2016, 04:23:35 PM »
Hi all,

I moved to the Maitland area about 9 months ago from south FL (Boynton Beach). I work from home for a point of sale software company. I've been curious about computers and technology my whole life. My poor mother went through vacuum cleaners like tissue paper because of the electronics I would take apart in my bedroom... leaving capacitors, resistors and other metal pieces hidden in the carpet just waiting to destroy an unsuspecting vacuum. I just like learning how things work. I've dabbled in just about every programming language and I would really like to master python. I love watching the videos over at and I will most likely be ordering the new pineapple nano on Friday. yay! Computer security has become a passion of mine and I'm really hoping to get certified and make a career switch.

I worked as a Systems Admin in Deerfield Florida for a couple years. I worked in Web Dev back in 2008 and 2009 and did a lot of Flash animating. I worked for Levity Entertainment in Los Angeles on Jeff Dunham's Minding the Monsters, which was pretty awesome. I also played in a band for quite a while and love playing guitar (Although I haven't played in quite a while...). I have a 2 year old daughter and a wife who's awesome. Really looking forward to meeting everyone. Cheers! :D

We've got a monthly meetup of InfoSec enthusiasts on the last Thursday Tuesday of every month, and it'd be great to see you out for that. DC407, Orlando TOOOL and the local 2600 chapter hang there.

Bring out the whole family! We've got something for everyone, and the space to adopt it if we don't have it already :)
