Being a programmer is not a requirement. The Space Apps name can be misleading, the event has a lot of challenges that do not require programming skills (or making an App). You can see all of them here: http://spaceappschallenge.org/challenges/

Hi, David. :) I'll be poking around to see if I can drum up interest at our member meeting tomorrow. :)

I met James from NASA at Nerd Night and expressed interest in their upcoming challenge and got a bit more info. Let's get a team together and make things happen.

Hey everyone, the Space Apps website has been updated to include the challenges that KSC employees developed. You can go read about each challenge at our Tumblr blog here: http://spaceappsksc.tumblr.com/
At the KSC location we will have Subject Matter Experts available to help out with each of the KSC developed challenges, but you are free to work on whatever challenges interest you the most. You can see all the challenges posted so far here: http://spaceappschallenge.org/challenges/

Also, later today Astronaut Ron Garan will hold an AMA ("Ask Me Anything") on reddit.com on Monday at 3pm EDT. "I am Astronaut Ron Garan. Last time you told me what NASA should do next, now let's start doing it. AMA about the International Space Apps Challenge."

Okay.  Assuming the race gods don't smite me tomorrow, I'll be at the lab, just a little late, and I'm in. I'll volunteer to head up the communication with KSC, if no one else has a burning desire.

Do we register individually, or form a team and put all the names in at that time?

Register individually, but if several people from FamiLAB want to form a team make sure that everyone registers! We unfortunately will not be able to accept walk-ons for security reasons.
