Intro to Arduino Class?
« on: August 28, 2013, 01:52:02 PM »
Any idea where to find an Intro to Arduino in Central Florida before the end of the year? Of course, we missed the August one,  :( and I can't find another closer than Denver! My 13-year-old son's jumping up and down to attend one, and I think we're headed for an Arduino Christmas. Hope we'll be able to make it to the Open House next Tuesday. Tough on a school night--we live down by the parks.
Also, I see a FamiLAB class at the Science Center on Sept.7, but can't find the class topic. Anyone know? Thanks!

Let me ask around. I'm sure we can find a time before then. :)

Hi! I taught the class in August and I'd love to teach another. What days work best for you guys? Let me know, and I'll schedule something up in the next week or so.

It will be Intro to Arduino. There will also be 4 sessions of Intro to Arduino at Maker Faire on October 5th.

While those classes are awesome, they are short (< 1 hour) - I'd suggest coordinating with David (pockybum522) who offered to setup something for you.

Would love to attend a longer class. Thanks, David! Sepember 21 or 28, October 12 or 19, or Nov 2?

Fantastic! Will watch for it to go up on the web site to reserve three (maybe four) seats? Thanks!

Sorry we didn't make it to last night's Open House--tough to get back in the swing of things after the long weekend.
I see the Intro to Arduino class on the homepage calendar (VERY cool), but the link isn't quite right--when I click it tells me that "Only the event owner can modify this event."

It went great, there were at least 6 or so people, and it ran for about 4 hours. I'll have another one later this month. Thanks!

Hello,

we will be in the Orlando area the first 2 weeks of November and would love to join an activity.  My 14 year old has an arduino and is a tinkerer.  We do not have any hackerspaces in our area.  Any suggestions.

Keep an eye on the calendar! There should be a class around then, soon! If you don't see one as it draws close, post again.

I would like to sign up my 14 year old tinkerer in the arduino class of November 17th, we are from out of town.  Is the class given only in the evening?  How do we sign up?
