Python
« on: July 14, 2012, 05:53:48 PM »
Hey all,

I saw that Familab had just offered a public lecture on Python for beginners. I'm looking to learn Python, with a focus on Maya 3D - will there be another forum on Python?

Thanks!

We're working on getting another intro talk on Python together. The organizers have been very busy with GOLUG and other things, so they've been taking a break. As far as Maya, we have a few people who may be knowledgeable in that arena but I'll let them chime in. :)

python.org actually has a fantastic tutorial that teaches you all of the syntax you need to know:

http://docs.python.org/tutorial/index.html

I sat down one night and ran through it in about 4 hours
