Dark Sky Festival - Taking the Awesome on the Road
« on: February 03, 2013, 10:19:17 AM »

Last year @ Dark Sky - "Who are you?", "What's a Hackerspace", "Whats a Maker Faire"?

This year @ Dark Sky - "OH COOL, A 3D PRINTER!", "Oh, I know some of your members", "Yeah, we went to Maker Faire, when is this year's event?", "Oh cool, a Raspberry Pi" - it was AWESOME.

Huge thanks to Matt for dragging a bunch of gear to Dark Sky, setting up alone, then explaining 3D printing for 6 hours straight. He really took the lead for this event and made it happen.

Thanks to Tom (and others?) for the Glow-in-the-Dark "Orlando Maker" shirt, and for figuring out what we need to do in order to get screen printing...

Thanks to Pocky for the constant supply of caffeine which allowed me to keep explaining Raspberry Pi for hours on end.

Thanks to Ted, Graham, Megan, Dan, Conner,  Kathryn (and others, how fast my memory fades...) for stopping by to say hi, and to check out the event.

Thank you so much for being FamiLAB's right arm. I have no idea how you managed so many hours of constant explanation, you sold us awesomely as usual.

Thank you for all that you do. We know we don't deserve you, but we're very thankful you're here :D
