Mike King - BigHAAS CNC
« on: October 07, 2012, 11:34:40 PM »
(Previously posted this, but can't find it - dunno what happened, so apologies if a duplicate post)

Mike King is awesome and tells people about FamiLAB - people call Mike King and asks if he wants a BigHAAS CNC for FamiLAB. FamiLAB now has a BigHAAS CNC.

Others get props for donating and arranging its transport - but Mike planted the seed that caused it to be possible, so this post is for him!

Found this site a few years ago and thought he did some awesome work with a cnc restoration.  His Shizuoka was not advanced as our Haas (his does not have a tool changer) but he retrofitted the cnc so he could control it from a PC using a stepper controller he designed and built himself.
