Tedbury Laser Sleuth
« on: March 04, 2013, 12:01:59 AM »
Ted sleuthed the problems with the laser and made them pay for their crimes.

I have seen the laser move with the new controller board, and it is very exciting. He tells me it can also read the endstops properly now!

Ted is a good man. He took the laser apart last night, promised to be back to fix it today, and did exactly that. Good work, man, thanks so much :D

Thanks! I had help from Daniel Grove who actually lifted out the entire X/Y assembly so I could access the wiring, and he put the assembly back in. Also, Conner put up with the only semi-working dremel we had, when I gave up, as it was frustrating me to all hell.

Long story short, the board is now in place in a metal enclosure that I still need to ground to the frame, and it works. FSL had very poor documentation, but X and Y seem to be working. The laser is horribly out of alignment, but I'll let Pocky fix that one. ;)

As far as the endstops, the PCB should be capable of detecting them, but we don't have any mounted, yet.

So once the endstops are in, we'll have a legitimate "Home" function?
