The door. THE DOOOR. (Ted and Danny)
« on: September 20, 2013, 01:54:44 AM »
Thank you so much to Ted, the door works with NFC and works RIGHT. IDs for both HID cards and NFCs are sent over ethernet (A real long-distance wiring method) and get received in the admin room with beautiful custom packets that designate everything you could possibly want. Thank you, Ted. This is amazing.

Danny also just demonstrated a full SQL (finally, real database) setup that was shown to work tied to a reader. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME

It is so nice to use my hand again.

Seriously, thank you to Ted and Danny for all their hard work. I know Ted has been working on this for awhile and went through a ton of frustrating, late nights for this. This will be the first time we've ever had true access control on the space. This does mean we will have to do a better job at managing access both in granting and revoking it, but its a start. Fantastic work, it is much appreciated! :D
